The weather creates a more dynamic Realm and does affect the daily life of its inhabitants by various effects:
Normal Weather:
No special weather conditions are in affect.
Fog:
During the entire year, there is a 7% chance that there will be fog for the duration of that day. When there is fog, visibility while traveling over the map is decreased to 2 tiles instead of 3 in all directions.
Rain:
During the entire year, there is a 7% chance that there will be rain for the duration of that day. When it is raining, Seekers lose an additional 5 mood during the Daily Reset.
Storm:
During the entire year, there is a 3% chance that there will be storm for the duration of that day. When it is storming, the Ferry Express is closed.
Heat:
During the summer months of June, July and August, there is a daily chance of 20% that there will be heat for the duration of that day. In that case, Seekers can have one additional drink that day.
Snowing:
During the winter months of December, January and February, there is a daily chance of 20% that it will be snowing for the duration of that day.
- Traveling over the map requires 1 extra Stamina for each tile crossed.
- Seekers have a 50% chance to encounter special winter encounters instead of the normal map encounters.
- Seekers gain one extra Snowball to throw during the Winter Snowball Battle Event.
Blood Moon:
All Monsters have double their normal stats, including damage, hit points, protection, initiative, and combat experience when killed.
Weather Forecast:
Seekers can donate Grail Tokens toward the Community Pool of the Weather Forecast. The tokens are used during the Daily Reset to pay the Grail Meteorologists. They are able to predict the weather of the Realm for the next few days and they are at least 80% of the time correct with their weather predictions.
The amount of Grail Tokens the Meteorologists receive from the community pool each reset is based on the amount of Seekers that were online the past day divided by 20 (rounded up). As long there are sufficient Grail Tokens in the pool the weather forecast is visible for all Seekers in the Realm.
