The Grail Tavern is an in-game chat room where all Seekers can gather and converse in a peaceful environment. It is an ideal place to exchange information, meet new friends, and arrange trade deals. Sometimes Lord Arogandor himself comes by and drinks beer here too! The Tavern is also where Seekers can enjoy beer in an almost unlimited quantity, whether purchased for themselves or offered by others. All visitors to the Tavern agree to have read and accepted the Tavern Rules.
There are two different taverns: The Grail Tavern (for all kind of conversations) and the Lost Cellar (for in-game conversations only).
Drinking beer in the taverns does not affect your Drink Consumption, but it will raise your mood and get you drunk.Selling Beer to the Tavern:
The Tavern maintains a stock of up to 3,000 beers, which are purchased directly from Seekers who wish to sell their beer. Since there are usually more Seekers selling beer than drinking it, a cooldown system is in place to ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to sell.
If the Tavern’s stock falls below 2,000 Beers, no cooldown applies and Seekers may continue selling until this limit is reached. Once the stock is at or above 2,000, a price penalty is applied and a cooldown is triggered for the Seeker after every 10 beers sold. The base selling price is 2 Silver. When a penalty applies, this price is reduced by (total beers in stock - 2,000) × 0.05 Bronze, rounded up.
The cooldown duration depends on the balance between beer purchases and sales:
- 10 hours if the buy-to-sell ratio is 0.3 or higher.
- 20 hours if the ratio is below 0.3.
Additionally, the cooldown is immediately reduced by 2 hours for each beer a Seeker purchases from the Tavern, whether for themselves or for others.
Tavern Tuesday:
Each 3rd Tuesday of the month there is a social gathering at the Taverns, called Tavern Tuesday. During that day the Beer prices have been reduced to 21 Bronze instead of the usual 24 Bronze.
